Where are Bluetti Solar Generators Made? Where are Jackery batteries made? Or what about Ecoflow? Goal Zero? Or Anker? It’s only natural if you’re considering buying a battery, a portable power station, or a solar generator, to wonder who makes what in the world of portable power. It’s a big investment. You want to make sure you’re getting quality. And some after sales service if anything does go wrong. Maybe you’re just a devoted fan of ‘Made in the USA’. In this article we answer all of these questions. And what we’ve found out might just surprise you. So let’s dive in, starting with Bluetti.
Where are Bluetti Solar Generators Made?
Bluetti’s popular portable power stations hail from the manufacturing floors of the tech-savvy city of Shenzhen, China.
Who’s Behind Bluetti?
The mastermind behind Bluetti is none other than PowerOak, its umbrella company.
A Glimpse into PowerOak’s Legacy:
Established in 2013 and known to many as ‘Shenzhen PowerOak Technology’, PowerOak is a beacon of innovation. They’re not just about batteries; they’re about the future. Merging solar prowess with battery tech, they’ve birthed marvels like Bluetti. From conceptualization to customer service, they’re a one-stop-shop for energy solutions.
A Titan in the Battery Game:
Bluetti isn’t just another brand; it’s a global leader in portable power solutions. A powerhouse of portable power.
It’s products sit alongside other global solar power generator brands like Jackery, Ecoflow, Goal Zero Yeti, and Anker.
Where the Bluetti Battery Magic Happens:
Nestled in China’s tech heartland, Shenzhen, PowerOak’s sprawling facilities are where Bluetti’s batteries come to life – crafted, curated, and quality-checked.
Global Footprint:
Bluetti, with its international certifications, is a favorite in over 100 countries. PowerOak’s influence isn’t limited to China; they have a presence from Japan to Germany, the USA to Australia, and even Nigeria. Boasting a team of over 400 innovators, many of whom are the brains behind the brand.
Innovation at its Core:
With over 310 patents under their belt and an annual R&D investment exceeding $8 million, PowerOak is always ahead of the curve. They’re not just about batteries; they’re shaping the future with cutting-edge tech in solar, wind, and more.
Market Dynamics:
The US is PowerOak’s biggest fan, contributing to 32% of their earnings, closely followed by Western Europe and Eastern Asia.
Trust in Bluetti:
A brand’s worth is often judged by its after-sales promises. Bluetti stands tall with warranties ranging from 1 to 5 years, depending on the product. And if you’re keen on extending it, they’ve got you covered.
Got a Bluetti Glitch?
PowerOak’s got your back with DIY repair guides and spare parts. And if things go south, they won’t hesitate to replace your product.
Purchasing a Bluetti is a significant investment. If you hit a snag, their email support is swift and efficient. They’ve also fostered communities on Facebook and other platforms. And if you’re from Australia or the US, their local service centers in Sydney and Nevada offer added peace of mind.
Where are Ecoflow Solar Generators made?
Ecoflow Solar Generators are made in China too. And their flagship solar generators – Like the Delta Pro – are packed with some of the best quality tech going around. We’ve got one and we love it.
They’re a R&D powerhouse in portable power tech. They have over 500 patents in the field, one of them being their incredible Xboost feature.
Where regular battery inverters struggle when you plug in devices that use a lot of power, X-Boost lets you charge more watts at once. It’s a smart feature that slightly lowers the voltage in the battery. Doing so means you can power larger appliances with a less powerful inverter, letting you do more with less.
Xboost was instrumental in why we chose to go with an Ecoflow. I mean, who doesn’t love more for less?
Their ordering, shipping and after sales service has been exemplary, and we’re based in Australia.
All round, we’ve had a great experience with them so far.
Where are Jackery batteries Made?
Jackery batteries are not made in the USA.
They’re engineered and designed out of Silicon Valley and they have strong USA branding about them. But Jackery Solar Generators are made in China. Shock horror we know.
Y’all thought they were manufactured in the US?
Nope. The company is based in Freemont California. But manufacturing is in China.
And what’s more, Jackery’s parent company is Chinese. Shenzhen Hello Tech Energy, based in China, is the parent company to Jackery.
But guess what. Jackery is still that same old great ‘American as apple pie’ brand with the same high quality solar generators that outdoor enthusiasts love to buy.
Only it’s not American.
The point we’re making is, that doesn’t change anything about it’s products. They’re still damn good.
What about the Goal Zero Yeti and Anker batteries?
Goal Zero says their products, like their Yeti batteries, are designed engineered and tested in Salt Lake City, USA. But they’re manufactured by their ‘partners’ in China.
Anker batteries are made in China too. And Anker is a Chinese company – Anker Innovations. They do have offices in 15 countries and regions around the world. But manufacturing is in China.
So what solar generators are made in the USA?
Very few.
And none of the well known and globally recognised household brands on the market.
If you do find any global brands, we’d love to know about them.
Where Does the World’s Lithium Battery Power Come From?
Having dug into all of these brands, time we recognise the facts.
When we talk about lithium batteries, powering everything from portable stations to electric vehicles and home energy storage, there’s one country that’s leading the charge: China.
In 2021, China wasn’t just participating; they were dominating. According to Statistica, they crafted a staggering 79% of all lithium-ion batteries that powered the globe.
Which Big Names Trust China’s Battery Prowess?
China’s battery factories are buzzing, crafting power packs for some of the world’s most iconic brands. Think Samsung, Apple, Nokia, HP, Toshiba, Huawei, Lenovo, and HTC.
And let’s not forget CATL, China’s battery giant, always innovating and pushing the boundaries in new energy vehicle power systems and energy storage solutions.
China’s Journey in the Battery World:
Turn back the clock to the 90s, and Japan was the battery king. But as the new millennium dawned, China saw an opportunity. With investments pouring into sourcing and manufacturing, they quickly climbed the ranks, becoming a lithium battery powerhouse in just two decades.
6 of the top 10 battery manufacturing companies have their headquarters in China.
So what does all this mean for your Solar Generator purchase?
None of the ‘big 5 brand’ solar generators are made in the USA.
They’re all manufactured in China.
So hunting down a Jackery or a Goal Zero Yeti because you though they were USA quality products, is a furphy. Yeah, they’re both good brands with great products. But just like Bluetti and Ecoflow and Anker, their lithium batteries – the heart of the solar generator, the black box where all the magic happens – are made in China.
So you can stop searching and just take the leap. The best solar generators are all products of China.
And that’s ok.
